The First Statge Flea Market was launched in 2016 by a pair of friends who wanted to provide a stage where artisans, antique experts, and entrepreneurs could present their one-of-a-kind items to the public. In the past year, the First State Flea Market has grown to the point that it now visits two locations, Glasgow Regional Park and Dravo Plaza on the Riverfront, with plans to bring it to other neighborhoods as business picks up.
Every first Saturday of the month, the free market sets up shop at one of the two locations. The next market on Saturday, August 5th will be at Glasgow Park in Newark from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come and check out the assortment of antiques and vintage items, refurbished and repurposed pieces, and handcrafted wares. You won’t find an eclectic selection like this at your average antique shop or home goods store.
